Hi everyone! I’m Charmaine, and I’m honoured to be serving as your Head Chair for the Security Council at TMUN. I’m currently a Year 12 A-Level student at Tanglin Trust School. Over the course of 16 conferences and 4 chairing experiences, MUN has consistently been one of my favourite activities. So whether this is your first conference or you’re a seasoned MUNer, I’m excited to support you all in developing your skills and making this conference an unforgettable experience!
The Security Council handles some of the most critical and high-stakes crises on the global stage. At this conference, we’ll be tackling two deeply pressing geopolitical issues: combatting the rise of mercenary armies and proxy conflicts in Syria, alongside addressing regional instability and foreign involvement in Myanmar. I’m eager to see high-level debate, sharp negotiation, and innovative solutions from all of you.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions beforehand, and see you all at TMUN!
Hello everyone! My name is Arjan Chopra and I am very happy to be taking the role of Security Council’s deputy Chair at TMUN 26. I am 15 years old, attending Tanglin Trust School and I have been participating in Model United Nations for the last three years. Over the years, I have been able to participate in different committees and develop an interest in diplomacy and international relations. This will be my first time chairing, so I am really excited about this new experience! As members of the Security Council, you will be debating the world’s most critical issues in relation to international peace and security. I am looking forward to seeing what kind of debates, negotiations and ideas you will bring to this committee!
