Hello everyone and welcome to TMUN26! My name is Maryam and I’m excited to be your EU Deputy Chair. I am currently studying at Tanglin Trust School and have been doing MUN for around five years. I’ve attended eight conferences and this will be my first time chairing. In my opinion, EU is one of the most interesting committees and I’m really looking forward to debating issues such as mass migration, the housing crisis and energy independence. I’m especially eager to see fruitful and constructive debate within our committee. I look forward to meeting you all and making this a great conference. See you at TMUN26!

Dear Delegates, Welcome to the European Union Committee! My name is Vaish, a 16-year-old IB student at UWCSEA Dover, and I’m honoured to serve as your Head Chair for TMUN26. My MUN journey actually began right here two years ago at CENTMUN’24. Coming back to where it all started, this time acting as your Head Chair, feels like a true full-circle moment. Over the past two years, I have participated in 7 conferences and this will be my 3rd time chairing. I’ve had the privilege of debating alongside delegates from around the world, tackling high-stakes global issues through deeply thought-provoking discussions.
